Our Goals:
Beginning January 7th at 7 p.m. Redfish Bluefish Creative Café will transform into an experimental story-sharing laboratory where your stories about motherhood will be shared and explored. Using theatre games, exercises and activities, we hope utilize your stories in part, whole and as a jumping off point to create an exciting new devised play for the Toronto Fringe Festival 2014.
Who Can Participate?
You do not have to be an actor or playwright to participate – but you do need to be a mother. We’re looking for moms of all shapes, patterns, colours, sizes, vintages and stages of motherhood. You need to be willing to share your experiences, have fun with some kooky activities and to collaborate with other participants. Most importantly, we need you to be open and truthful about your feelings, hopes, dreams and fears.
Our Pledge:
We promise to create a safe, inspiring and fun space for everyone involved. The workshops will be hands-on so we ask that you wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to move and laugh. We’d love you to come to all of the workshops but we understand this may not easy for many of you. So feel free to miss a week or two or even just try us out once. We want to hear what you have to say and will welcome you with open arms.
This is an opportunity for you to have your voice heard, to be uber-creative, and to try something new and rewarding. Please join us.
